Our Pastor - Gordon Hamilton

Gordon became our Pastor in January 1994, coming from Crawley Baptist Church, about 5 miles away from Copthorne.

In April 2002 Gordon assumed the role of President of the connexion for twelve months, visiting all the churches, and raising over £2,400 for the Sierra Leone Mission at the same time.

In February 2004 Gordon travelled with Rev Ben Quant, from Wormley, Herts, to Sierra Leone, to visit the churches and schools of the connexion there. While there, they had the privilege of officially opening the new school at Songo Locko, and blessing the new church, Lady Selina Chapel, West Street, Freetown, which was officially opened on 31st October 2004, 8 months later.

While in Sierra Leone Ben and Gordon also visited the Milton Margi school for the blind and attended the four day conference of the connexion. For photos of the trip see, 'Gordon's trip to Sierra Leone.'

Along with his wife, Chris, he is willing to welcome everyone exactly as they are.

We all face difficulties at sometime: distress, loneliness, bereavement, illness and in other areas.

We will gladly make time if you wish to chat over any worries you may have, in complete confidence.
